Thrival Indy Academy is a humanities-focused high school which exposes students to diverse global perspectives through experiential learning and identity exploration in order to incubate educated global citizens and passionate community leaders.
Through addressing the opportunity gap surrounding global experiences and perspectives, Thrival Indy Academy prepares Indianapolis youth for postsecondary success and equips them with the tools to impact positive change in their local community.
All members of Thrival Indy are embraced and affirmed, despite race, affiliation, orientation, or gender identity. Through our language, actions, policies, and procedures, we uphold a school community which neither fosters nor tolerates bullying of any kind.
Cultural differences are not only accepted, but they are celebrated at Thrival Indy. Through our robust curriculum, we navigate Indiana State standards from diverse perspectives. In addition to relevant curricular themes, we respect the various cultures represented in our school community through our school policies. For this reason, our students are not required to dress uniformly.
Learning should be a joyful experience. At Thrival Indy, we are dedicated to maintaining positivity and joy throughout our halls, classrooms, and offices. We develop engaging projects, invite inspiring guest speakers, and design exciting learning excursions with our students in mind.
We provide supports such as extended class periods, after-school tutoring , and parent pathways in order to assure that every student meets and exceeds Indiana's standards of proficiency. Students, teachers, administrators, and parents are all supported to achieve their academic, personal, and professional goals.
Through immersive experiences both locally and abroad, we learn to respect the viewpoints of others and become more open to unfamiliar concepts.
We embrace diversity in thought, identity, and lived experiences. We affirm the identities of the members of our community, and we understand there is much to learn through our differences.
We acknowledge that we alone are responsible for our own actions and reactions, and we own up to the moments when our actions are not reflective of our best selves.
We are committed to ourselves, our community, and our world. From attendance to service learning, we are committed to being the change we wish to see in our world.
We speak up for ourselves and those around us. We are civically involved and strive to leverage the resources available in our community in order to improve the lives around us.
We strive to leave a positive impression on all those we encounter.
