India Hui is a devoted educator who has lived the majority of her life in Indianapolis, Indiana. She graduated from Warren Central High School and went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Education from Indiana University in Bloomington. After several years of teaching, in 2014 India joined IUPUI's Urban Principalship Program, where she also earned a Master of Science in Educational Leadership. Serving students and families outside of the classroom brings joy to India; she has been a coach, organizer of school and community events, trusted mentor, and community advocate. In 2017 she launched Thrival Academy: Indy as an IPS pilot program in conjunction with The Mind Trust and Thrival World Academies, and in 2018, Thrival Academy: Indy was founded as the first school of its kind. As the founding school leader, India has functioned as everything from executive director to academic coach for the one-year study abroad school. Many know Thrival as "the Thailand school," but it is a school with rigorous academics and an undeniable culture of affirmation and excellence. After two successful years, she is now leading the school's transition to a more sustainable model which more closely reflects the community it serves.
We continue to seek dedicated community members to join or board of directors as well as committees.
